DeWALT DCH172NT-XJ SDS-Plus XR Compact Hammer Drill – Without Battery

The DeWalt DCH172NT-XJ is an ultra-compact, lightweight, professional-grade cordless SDS-Plus hammer drill designed to deliver excellent performance when installing plastic anchors and small-diameter mechanical anchors. Thanks to its powerful brushless motor and 18V XR Lithium technology with 5.0 Ah batteries, it offers superior runtime, greater energy efficiency, and significantly reduced maintenance compared to traditional brushed motors.

This hammer drill delivers excellent performance with 1.4 joules of impact energy, allowing it to drill through solid concrete up to 16 mm thick. This makes it ideal for installers, electricians, plumbers, window and door fitters, and construction companies that need a reliable tool for heavy-duty use.

One of the DCH172NT-XJ’s key strengths is its anti-vibration system, which, at just 6.3 m/s², offers one of the lowest vibration levels in its class. This allows for longer working sessions with greater comfort, reducing operator fatigue and improving productivity during continuous operation.

The electronic clutch maintains a consistent setting over time, enhancing user safety and protecting both the tool and accessories in the event of sudden bit jamming. The two operating modes allow you to quickly adapt the tool to any need: rotation only for drilling wood and metal, and rotation with hammer action for drilling concrete and masonry.

For maximum performance, we recommend using SDS-Plus drill bits of a quality appropriate for the material being worked on, and keeping the accessories sharp at all times to ensure precision, speed of execution, and a longer tool life. When chiseling, select the accessory best suited to the task at hand, leveraging the power of the brushless motor to remove plaster and tiles or create grooves in masonry quickly and effectively.

The DeWalt DCH172NT-XJ hammer drill is the ideal choice for those seeking a professional cordless SDS-Plus hammer drill that combines compactness, light weight, comfort, and reliability while delivering high performance.
