Makita UB004GZ 40V XGT Backpack Blower

The Makita UB004GZ XGT® 40Vmax is a professional-grade backpack blower designed to deliver high performance when cleaning large surfaces, green spaces, parks, gardens, driveways, sports facilities, and industrial settings. Thanks to its powerful brushless motor powered by the 40Vmax XGT® platform, it delivers blowing power comparable to that of a 65 cc gas-powered blower, while offering all the benefits of battery technology: less maintenance, lower noise levels, zero direct emissions, and greater comfort while working.

Designed for intensive professional use, the Makita UB004GZ features an innovative dual-battery power system that ensures long operating time. The blower has two slots for 40V XGT batteries but operates on one battery at a time, automatically switching to the second battery when the first runs out without interrupting work, allowing for continuous operation even in the most demanding applications. For maximum performance, we recommend using the high-power BL4080H batteries.

The latest-generation brushless motor ensures high energy efficiency, consistent performance over time, and a long service life thanks to the absence of wear-prone brushes. The high-speed air nozzle generates a powerful, concentrated airflow that quickly removes leaves, grass clippings, small debris, and residue—even from damp or particularly dirty surfaces.

The new ergonomic harness system distributes weight evenly across the shoulders and back, reducing fatigue during long work sessions. The lightweight design, adjustable telescopic tube, and interchangeable nozzles also allow you to easily adapt the blower to different operational needs.

Control of the machine is extremely precise thanks to the variable-speed trigger, the two selectable operating modes, and the convenient Cruise Control feature, which maintains constant power without requiring the operator to hold down the trigger. For added safety, there is also an Anti-Restart feature, which prevents the machine from accidentally restarting after a power interruption.

Extreme Protection Technology (XPT) enhances resistance to dust and moisture, making the blower ideal for use on construction sites, in landscaping, and in all particularly demanding work environments.

The Makita UB004GZ is the ideal solution for professional gardeners, landscape maintenance workers, public agencies, cleaning companies, and operators seeking a powerful, reliable backpack blower capable of delivering high performance without the limitations of traditional internal-combustion engine models.

To achieve maximum performance, it is recommended to use high-capacity Makita XGT® batteries to fully take advantage of the runtime provided by the dual-battery system during longer jobs. The variable speed allows you to adjust the power output according to the type of material being removed, minimizing energy consumption and air dispersion during more delicate operations. Using a properly adjusted harness significantly improves comfort, especially during continuous work on large surfaces. To maintain performance over time, it is recommended to keep the motor’s air intakes clean and periodically check that the hose and accessories are securely fastened.
