The Makita HP2051FJ is a hammer drill with a compact design and an ergonomic rubber-coated grip for greater comfort during use. It is powered by a 720W motor and features an all-metal quick-release chuck with a range of 1.5–13 mm. Speed control with 2 settings: 0–1,200 and 0–2,900 rpm, and 2 operating modes: rotation only and rotation with hammer action. This drill is equipped with an LED to illuminate the work area, a sturdy aluminum housing for the gear transmission, and a safety clutch that stops the motor if the drill bit jams.

The Makita HP2051FJ includes a side handle, a 13-mm keyless chuck, a depth stop, and a Type 1 Makpac carrying case.
