Makita P-17027 SDS-Max Adapter for SDS-Plus Bits

The Makita P-17027 is an adapter for SDS-Plus bits with an SDS-MAX shank.

IMPORTANT NOTE

Rotary hammers with an SDS-MAX shank are designed for heavy-duty applications: the shank has a larger diameter and is more robust, so it can withstand greater loads and stress than the SDS-PLUS, which is primarily used on hammer drills.
For this reason, using SDS-PLUS drill bits with an adapter is not recommended for heavy-duty work; for such applications, it is preferable to use SDS-MAX drill bits.
